SOLAR EYES (AT LEAST) PARANOIA LOVES YOU

SOLAR EYES have returned with the fantastic new single, ‘(At Least) Paranoia Loves You’. This cut places a sneering, punky vocal courtesy of Glenn Smyth above a fuzzy accompaniment, which is itself supported by a motorik krautrock beat. The sonic landscape the pair create is somewhere between pop and psych, with the trippy influence of The Chemical Brothers and Primal Scream providing distinct influence. They explain that the track is “about someone from my past – who I didn’t particularly like. But had to endure for YEARS. But I don’t hold grudges haha. A bit of a punk feel too.” The single is taken from their new self-titled debut album, which is out now via Fierce Panda. -Dan Peeke
